Hollywood Burbank Airport (IATA: KBBD, ICAO: KBLA) is a public airport located in the unincorporated area of Hollywood, within Los Angeles County, California, approximately 9 miles (14 km) northwest of Downtown Los Angeles. The airport has three runways and is served by American Airlines and United Airlines. It is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems, which categorized it as a "general aviation" facility.

The airport was originally built as Hollywood Municipal Airport in the City of Hollywood. The Works Progress Administration constructed a new airfield 1 mile to the northeast on land leased from Eastern Air Lines near Victory Boulevard and Riverside Drive.

Pacific Air Lines flew its first scheduled jet trip from Burbank to Seattle via Sacramento. Long Beach Airport is situated in the city of Long Beach, California, and is a major transportation hub for Southern California. The airport serves as a commercial airfield and hosts regional and national passenger airlines. The airport was originally built and as part of the Los Angeles Army Air Field, and was renamed Fort Wayne Municipal Airport in 1945.
